Aleenta Phuket-Phang Nga Resort and Spa hosts the gala charity event of the season with its eagerly anticipated Chocolate Decadence party, on December 1st 2012, for the Pure Blue Foundation and marine turtle conservation.
The contemporary boutique resort?s general manager, Yann Gouriou, said the evening would represent the epitome of indulgence for a good cause, and guests lucky enough to hold one of Phuket?s hottest tickets should expect a night of ?pure finesse and sweet sensuality?.
?We have pulled out all the stops this time, even by our own standards,? said Mr Gouriou. ?Grand Villa Satis, the jewel in the crown of our Private Collection of stand-alone villas, is the venue this time for the ultimate house party.
?Imagine a dark and decadent culinary odyssey and a sweet feast for the senses, with the cream of Belgian chocolatiers sharing their dark arts with our own brilliant culinary team to concoct exotic savoury and sweet creations at live food stations that will explore the wilder shores of what?s possible with chocolate.
?VINNI, the amazing body painting artist, will leave his mark in chocolate on our stunning models and dancers, who will weave their magic as the evening progresses, and Tiki, from Le China Bar and Lounge in Paris, will provide the sweet sonic savoir faire with his cutting-edge deep house grooves.?
Aleenta mixologists meanwhile will be shaking and stirring guests with creative chocolate cocktails at the open bar. And for an extra sweet treat, Katalina Collection, the swimwear brand that is really making waves, will unveil its latest Gottex Swimwear collection exclusively for the Pure Blue Foundation.
MC for evening is Windows on Thailand: The Andaman Series host and PR maven Able Wanamakok, who will keep things flowing as the evening melts into the deeper reaches of decadence.
Able is a Hong Kong native who grew up in the US from the age of 10 and graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio specializing in business, but found her talent in mass communications after moving to Phuket 7 years ago. She now works as a TV Presenter, Producer and PR consultant for a number of prestigious brands in Asia. Her experience as a model, actor and news anchor will definitely brighten up the evening.
Mr Gouriou said a silent auction would be held to raise money for the Pure Blue Foundation, the passion project of AHMS Hotels and Aleenta Resorts and Spas founder Anchalika Kijkanakorn, which has done vital work in endangered marine turtle conservation through its support of Aleenta Phuket?s neighbouring Thai Mueang turtle sanctuary.
Founded in 2010, Pure Blue has raised over THB1 million which it has dedicated to turtle conservation, raising and releasing more than 160 leatherback turtles into the Andaman Sea to repopulate the dwindling turtle population. Pure Blue also works closely with another neighbour, Natai Beach?s Khao Pillai School, to educate children on the importance of marine conservation.
The Chocolate Decadence party follows on from last year?s ?Help Save Marine Life? charity dinner, which saw over THB400,000 raised for the foundation as guests were wowed by visiting chef Laurent Reveillac?s molecular gastronomy creations.
Ms Kijkanakorn said she was looking forward to the evening immensely and urged guests to dig deep for a good cause. ?The plight of these beautiful creatures is heartbreaking and it is so important that we continue to support their conservation. Pure Blue Foundation is making a difference, and Aleenta?s Chocolate Decadence party, as well as being talk of the town, can make a difference too.?
