If you're looking for a way to differentiate your new MacBook Pro from everyone else's, consider these gorgeous wooden key caps. They're a refreshing?break from the stark black-metallic color scheme on Apple's laptops.
These "Lazerwood Keys" are basically tiny laser-cut bits of wood that you stick right on top of your existing keys. Lining up and sticking on every individual key may not be your idea of a fun afternoon, but it's hard to argue with the results.
Each key cap is cut with high?precision and is?only a fraction of an inch thick, though that's deep enough for the key?to be etched with its own letter or symbol. They stick on securely, but you can remove them safely if you decide to go back to the original color scheme.
Lazerwood Keys should work with any unibody MacBook Pro, and some MacBook Airs ? check your keyboard layout against the one in the product shot to be sure (some older models had an eject key instead of the?on/off button).
For $40 you can choose between bright cherry and darker walnut wood for your keys. They also make a version for Apple's Bluetooth keyboard and cases for a number of other devices, so if you don't happen to have a MacBook Pro, there might still be something worth picking up for yourself (or a loved one).
